Services Manager (Counselling and Trainees)
Salary: Salary scale £34,000 – £37,000 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting) for FTE.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Duration: This is a permanent post and is subject to performance and continuous funding.
Location: The post will be based at EACH Ealing. Remote working may be necessary and will be required to work from any of EACH’s locations.
EACH is a growing charity providing specialist services to individuals and families primarily from BAME communities affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues. Our success is through a diverse staff and volunteer team, who are passionate and committed to meeting the needs of our local communities. We provide counselling, psycho-education, recovery and aftercare support (e.g. floating support, peer-led initiatives, employment coaching) in a range of languages to empower people to become healthier and more independent.
This role will suit a qualified counsellor looking to move into or enhance their management career. We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Services Manager to take forward our clinical services with responsibility for:
1. Development and delivery of effective service plans for our counselling and therapeutic services, and manage their performance.
2. Provide management, supervision and direction to a diverse staff team across the organisation.
3. Ensure delivery of SLAs, grants and contracts, including through relationship management.
4. Lead on recruitment, involvement and support for trainee and volunteer counsellors, including through training.
5. Develop clinical and evidence-based practice.
You will need:
• Experience of managing projects or services effectively.
• Understanding of needs and motivations of trainee and volunteer counsellors and ability to support them.
• Ability to identify gaps and needs and adapt services, including through performance management.
• A counselling qualification with accreditation with a recognised professional body.
• Experience of working with people from BAME communities and diverse social and cultural background.
